i dont go to fowlers much but i agree. stop sterilising our city by destroying uniqe and individual places. city west is a vibrant centre bussling with the uni and younger people. if they want another art gallery theres a place for that. its called the east end of north terrace. congratulations; not happy rann. you wont be getting mine, or anyother unisa city west students vote in the next election.

Due to the poker machine plague, Adelaide has lost many of its live clubs. We are currently starved of good live music venues, and now we are faced with the prospect of losing yet another?! Fowlers is a great live venue and carries the weight of the Adeliade Live Music scene. Whether it be a local band, international act, hip hop, rock, metal, punk, funk, whatever it is.. Fowlers always rises to the occasion. Please stop the madness! and Keep Fowlers Alive.

Fowlers is without a doubt the finest venue of its size in Adelaide for atmosphere. It provides a unique space for indie bands to strut their stuff to Adelaidean fans, who otherwise have to head interstate to hear good alternative music. Adelaide music fans need Fowlers Live!

I was a teenager in Adelaide in the 70s and I can't believe what's happened to the live music scene in Adelaide. With acts like The Angels, Cold Chisel and others having their roots in Adelaide, we have been a proving ground for some of the best music Australia has produced. Pokies and the yuppies who've moved into city and nearby areas, then started complaining about noise (when it was there before they were born) have almost been the death of it. We need live music venues. Our Youth matters.

Fowlers has been a music experience for me like no other. As an artist myself, I understand the importance of galleries in SA. But even more important is the need for a good local all ages venue such as fowlers for youth to go to so that they can watch and perform in musical performances. Fowlers is a part of the adelaide music scene, and needs to stay a part.

Closing this venue down makes no sense..When there are other places in the city which do cause chaos, and they should be the places closing. Also Fowlers is safe, welcoming and it's a great venue for bands to rock out.

Why replace it with an Art Gallery when the city's main gallery is JUST UP THE ROAD, not to mention the Jam factory just NEXT DOOR.
